Inaugural Model United Nations Conference
A history-making event for Alexandria City High School (ACHS) brought together students for the Model United Nations (UN) conference, ALXMUN I, the first ever hosted by the school. This milestone event held on March 28-29, 2025, at the King Street campus represented a stepping stone in building the high school’s academic reputation and community connections.
With nine distinct committees and 16 student leaders guiding the way, ALXMUN I challenged delegates to engage in meaningful debate, tackle real-world issues and explore historical and fictional scenarios.
"ALXMUN I is more than just a conference—it is a milestone for Alexandria City High School. This event showcases the dedication, leadership and academic excellence of our students, providing them with a platform to engage in global issues, develop critical thinking skills and foster diplomacy. By participating in ALXMUN I, our students are not only making history, but also shaping the future of civic engagement at ACHS and beyond,” said ACHS King Street Campus Administrator Ashley Carter Sinclair.
The conference provided an incredible opportunity for seasoned delegates and newcomers to Model UN to build their leadership skills, foster collaboration and connect with peers from across the region. Every school and delegate received certificates of participation in recognition of their contributions to this inaugural event.
