Join Us for the School Boundary Redistricting Hybrid Community Meeting on March 18

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) invites everyone to participate in the upcoming School Boundary Redistricting Hybrid Community Meeting on Tues., March 18, 2025, from 6-7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at Alexandria City High School’s King Street Campus, and will also be available to watch virtually on Zoom

This meeting is an important opportunity for everyone to:

  • Learn more about the school boundary redistricting process.
  • View the proposed school boundary maps.
  • Share feedback and ask questions to help shape the final proposals.
What is the Redistricting Process?

The School Boundary Redistricting Process is an important effort to realign elementary and middle school boundaries to better balance student enrollment and improve school capacity across ACPS. This process, guided by community input and data analysis, will help address changes in student population, new housing developments, and long-term enrollment projections.

The final School Board vote on the proposed school boundary changes will take place on June 12, 2025. The new boundaries will go into effect at the start of the 2026-27 school year.

Stay Involved and Engaged in the Process

We encourage everyone to stay engaged and actively participate in this pivotal process. Community input is vital to ensuring the new boundaries reflect the needs and priorities of all students and families.

To learn more, visit the School Boundary Redistricting webpage, or send your questions or feedback to ask@acps.k12.va.us.
