Learn More About Becoming an ACPS Teacher Through iteach

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) invites interested individuals to learn more about iteach, an alternative teacher certification program approved by the Virginia Department of Education. ACPS and iteach have scheduled an informational session that can be accessed via Zoom on March 18, 2025, at 5 p.m. 

Unlike other methods of teacher certification, iteach is affordable and flexible.The Virginia iteach route to licensure supports candidates who have already earned a Virginia state-issued provisional license and who need to complete their full licensure requirements as well as candidates who are seeking a first-time Virginia state provisional license. While this program may be of particular interest to current ACPS instructional assistants and substitutes, it is open to all qualified individuals with an interest in becoming a teacher.
