Middle School Families Invited to Discuss Managing Stress and Anxiety on Jan. 19, 2023

Mark your calendar for the next Youth Speak Up event on Thurs., Jan. 19, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at George Washington Middle School (1005 Mt Vernon Ave.). This event will bring middle school students and their parents together to discuss healthy ways to manage stress and anxiety.

The event will be hosted by the Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition of Alexandria, the Children Youth and Families Collaborative Commission, the Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy, the Gang Prevention Community Task Force and Alexandria City Public Schools. The most recent Youth Speak Up event, held in December 2021, featured a panel of Alexandria City High School students highlighting their needs in navigating life after the pandemic.
