Nominate a Former ACPS Athlete or Coach for the Athletic Hall of Fame by Jan. 31, 2025
Take part in the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Athletic Hall of Fame process and submit nominations for the 2025 inductees before the Jan. 31, 2025, deadline. There are four nominee categories:
- Athletic nominees will be considered primarily on athletic accomplishments in high school, character and leadership. Individual athletes are eligible for consideration five years after their graduation year.
- Team nominees will be considered primarily on accomplishments at the state level, contributions to the ACPS athletic/school climate, as well as good citizenship and community service. At least 10 years need to have passed since the completion of the team’s accomplishments.
- Coaches/administrator nominees will be considered on their record while at ACPS, their accomplishments toward the athletic program and throughout their career. Candidates must have at least five years of service/coaching in ACPS.
- Community contributors nominees will be considered on their contribution to athletics in ACPS and includes community members, staff members or others.
All nominations are welcome, and the Alexandria Hall of Fame Advisory Committee encourages nominees who are representative of a greater variety of sports, female athletes, teams and coaches and from Parker-Gray High School. A list of current ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame inductees is available on the school division website.
The ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame Advisory Committee is also actively seeking additional committee members. The committee meets on a monthly basis and its membership is open to students, alumni, coaches and community members. Help select the class of 2025 inductees by filling out the link to apply for a School Board Advisory Committee.
The Alexandria Hall of Fame Advisory Committee will submit its recommendations from among the nominations submitted to the Alexandria City School Board for consideration and approval, with an induction ceremony set for Oct. 11, 2025, at Alexandria City High School - King Street Campus.
