Register for the ACPS Summer Learning Program

Registration for Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Summer Learning 2025 is now open. Please visit the ACPS Summer Learning 2025 webpage to register your child.

Registration for these programs opened to all students at 8 a.m. on Fri., March 14 and closes on Sun., April 27 at 11:59 p.m. We strongly encourage registering early because the number of students we can serve in summer learning is determined by our summer learning sites and staffing capacity. Students must be registered by the April 27 deadline in order to receive transportation. 

ACPS’ Summer Learning program will consist of four weeks of in-person learning from Mon., June 23 to Thu., July 17, 2025. Learning will occur every Monday to Thursday. No school on Fridays. Summer learning hours will be:

  • Pre-K and Grades K-Four (includes grades three & four Young Scholars): 8 a.m.-noon  
  • Dual Language: 8 a.m.-noon.
  • Grades five-eight (includes grade five Young Scholars), Dual Language Summer Bridge, Theatre Camp: 8:45 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • High School and Music Camp: 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (in-person classes only)
  • High School Online: Dates and times are variable and flexible 
  • Special Education:
    • Pre-K:  9 a.m.-11 a.m.
    • K-Post Graduate: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

For current high school students in grades nine-12, some high school programs are available to all students, while others require a student to sign up and potentially pay to enroll in a class. Please visit the ACPS Summer Learning 2025 webpage or speak with your school counselor for more information.

All Summer Learning programs will also have on-site counselors, social workers and nurses to provide students with any needed social-emotional and/or medical support.
