School Board Summary for March 21, 2024

At its meeting on March 21, 2024, the Alexandria City School Board recognized the recipients of the Vision, Integrity and Passion (VIP) Awards in the leadership category and enjoyed a “Simply the Best” presentation from Alexandria City High School Satellite Campus.

The Board also addressed the following topics:

• Policy Revisions.
• The High School Project: Construction Update.
• Collective Bargaining Resolution.
• Community Use of Facilities for February 2024.
• FY 2024 Monthly Financial Report ending January 31, 2024.

At the conclusion of the School Board meeting, the Board held a work session on redistricting. In this meeting, it discussed previous redistricting efforts at ACPS and reviewed policies that will impact the redistricting work, the proposed timeline and next steps.
