Spring Break Reminder: April 14-18, 2025

Spring Break is set for Mon., April 14, 2025 through Fri., April 18, 2025, throughout Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS). There will be no classes for students and all schools and ACPS offices will be closed. We look forward to seeing all students and staff back in school on Mon., April 21, 2025.

In addition, there will be no ACPS Express or Insider newsletters on Fri., April 18, 2025, with publication resuming on Fri., April 25, 2025.

ALIVE! Spring Break Food Distribution

ACPS expanded its partnership with ALIVE! to provide food distribution in preparation for the ACPS Spring Break, April 14-18, 2025. ALIVE! is the oldest and largest private safety net in the City of Alexandria, dedicated to supporting families. Food will be available at no charge to participants at the locations and times listed below.

• Wed., April 16, 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Fairlington United Methodist Church (3900 King St.)

• Sat., April 19, 10 a.m.  - noon

UNCUT Youth at Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School (1501 Cameron St.)

• Food Hub (510-F South Van Dorn St.)
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Closed from 2 -3 p.m.)
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
• Food Hub  (2601 Mount Vernon Ave.)
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays: 12-6 p.m. (Closed from 2 - 3 p.m.)
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
