Alexandria’s Giving Day, Spring2ACTion, marks its 15th anniversary this year, celebrating the City of Alexandria’s collective spirit of giving and to support nonprofit organizations that make Alexandria a vibrant place for everyone. Early giving is underway, with Spring2ACTion accepting donations on its website and the day of giving event on Wed., April 9, 2025, from midnight to 11:59 p.m., presented by ACT for Alexandria.
Spring2ACTion connects donors to causes through this virtual fundraising effort. It is a great way to support various Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) and local community organizations, including school orchestra, band, choral and sports boosters, clubs and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) to name a few.
Spring2ACTion’s goal is to encourage 10,000 donors to raise $2 million for the Alexandria community. The event’s vision is a community where everyone contributes to our nonprofit organizations with the primary goals of growing philanthropy, revenue and supporters.
Spring2ACTion is hosted by ACT for Alexandria. Founded in 2004, ACT for Alexandria amplifies the work of the Alexandria community by bringing people and resources together.
