Starting Oct. 25, 2023, ACPS to Host an Additional Family Workshop Series on Substance Abuse Prevention

Families want to be active in preventing substance abuse and other risky behaviors in their homes, schools and communities. Join the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team to learn from the experiences of families, staff and community partners at workshops scheduled for October and November 2023.

These workshops will help families recognize the signs of substance abuse, explain how families can help make a difference and connect attendees to resources. For additional information on substance abuse and how ACPS can help, access our webpage.

Francis C. Hammond Middle School (4646 Seminary Road)

Workshop presented in English. Interpretation in Spanish, Dari, Amharic and Arabic available.

Wed., Nov. 8, 2023

6-8:30 p.m.

Alexandria City High School (3330 King Street)

Workshop presented in Amharic. English interpretation services will be available.

Wed., Dec. 6, 2023

6:15-8 p.m.
