Thank You, ACPS Assistant Principals!
From April 10 through April 14, 2023, Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) celebrated National Assistant Principals Week. Our assistant principals play a crucial role in ensuring positive values for teaching and learning and we recognize their commitment to our students and schools. They rise to the occasion countless times, helping students every day and addressing the challenges that come their way.
“ACPS assistant principals go above and beyond to support teachers, motivate students and assist their schools’ principals,” ACPS Interim Superintendent Dr. Melanie Kay-Wyatt said. “I would like to thank our assistant principals for their dedication and for all they do to advance our Equity for All Strategic Plan within the school division.”
ACPS’ 18 schools celebrated their assistant principals all week, sharing pictures and words of gratitude using #ACPSAPs. Check out the posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Our assistant principals excel when it comes to leadership, determination and decision making. We honor the impact our assistant principals have on the success of our students. They are truly the unsung heroes in the education system.
