To Kill A Tiger Movie Screening and Q&A
Mark your calendars for a powerful evening of film and conversation! Join us on Fri., May 2, 2025, from 7–9 p.m. at the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) King Street Auditorium (3330 King Street) for a special screening of the 2024 Oscar-nominated documentary To Kill a Tiger, directed by Nisha Pahuja. Doors for the event open at 6:30 p.m. and the screening is open to the public.
While the original film is two hours long and rated 15+ by Common Sense Media, we will be showing the educational version (approx. 50 minutes)—making it accessible for a broader audience while still delivering its emotional and thought-provoking impact.
Following the movie screening, stay for an exclusive Q&A session with director Nisha Pahuja, facilitated by none other than Dr. Atul Gawande—surgeon, New Yorker columnist and author of Being Mortal.
Do not miss this rare opportunity to experience a globally acclaimed story and engage in meaningful dialogue on justice, resilience and the human spirit. Draft 2025-30 Strategic Plan.
