On July 25, 2023, the 2023-24 academic year began in Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) at Samuel W. Tucker Elementary School. The school bell will ring on Aug. 21, 2023, for the first day at the division’s 17 other schools. In this brief video for the ACPS community, ACPS Superintendent Dr. Melanie Kay-Wyatt offers welcoming words as a new school year gets underway.
