You’re Invited to the ACPS Athletic Hall of Fame Scheduled on Oct. 12, 2024

Join Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) in honoring its new cohort of inductees into the 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is set for Sat., Oct. 12, 2024, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) auditorium.

The inductees include two teams, a coach and seven athletes:

  • The 1956 George Washington High School Boys Crew Team.

  • The 2008 T.C. Williams High School Boys Basketball Team.

  • Lawrence “Lucky” Elliott, Parker-Gray High School Class of 1962, Coach, Mentor, Department of Recreation.

  • Mark Farkas, T.C. Williams High School Class of 1979, Tennis.

  • Erin Fitch, T.C. Williams High School Class of 1992, Crew.

  • Alexus Foreman, T.C. Williams High School Class of 2016, Track & Field.

  • Iye Massaquoi, T.C. Williams High School Class of 2015, Track & Field.

  • Charles Price, Parker-Gray High School Class of 1941, Football, Basketball, Track.

  • Arnie Russell, T.C. Williams High School Class of 1980, Basketball.

  • Danielle Thorne, T.C. Williams High School Class of 2009, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer.

The Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding achievements of individual athletes, coaches, teams and friends of ACPS who contributed to the integrity, promotion and growth of athletics at the high school level. Inductees serve as role models who have helped pave the path for future generations to realize an equitable learning environment in our schools for all students, on and off the playing field.
