ACPS Department of Facilities and Operations Announces Azjargal “Azuka” Bartlett as New Director of Capital Programs, Planning and Design

Azjargal “Azuka” Bartlett is taking on a new role in Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) as director of capital programs, planning and design. She previously held the position of senior capital program manager at ACPS. Bartlett also served as the construction program manager for the division. Prior to arriving at ACPS, Bartlett worked as an architectural designer with Architectural Design Studio.

Bartlett holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, as well as a master’s degree in real estate development and finance from Georgetown University. Bartlett transitioned to her new role effective Oct. 31, 2022.

“Ms. Bartlett has shown exceptional leadership in her project management of the Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School project, which opened in 2018, and the High School Project, which she has been managing since January 2021, among many other projects for ACPS. I am excited for her to take on this role delivering new school projects and leading the capital planning efforts for the division,” said ACPS Executive Director of Facilities Erika Gulick.
