ACPS Department of Student Services and Equity Welcomes Dr. Robin Wallin as Director of School Health Services

Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Robin Wallin as the director of school health services for the division. Having most recently served as the director of the School Health Division for the Fairfax County Health Department in Virginia, Dr. Wallin brings 25 years of experience in school health services.

Dr. Wallin previously served as the ACPS nurse coordinator in the Department of Student Services. She has worked as a school nurse, district school health leader and public health administrator. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Certification Board for School Nurses from 2015-18. Dr. Wallin has a particular interest in the management of chronic health conditions in schools and the provision of school-based healthcare services to students. She has contributed to two publications with colleagues from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and was the primary author of the CDC Food Allergy Toolkit for Schools.

Dr. Wallin received a Master of Science in nursing and a doctorate in nursing practice from Yale University. She is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and a nationally certified school nurse.
