Alexandria Hosts Lottery for Affordable Housing for First-Time Homebuyers

The City of Alexandria’s Office of Housing announced the opening of a lottery process for affordable homeownership units at Dylan Condominiums located at 701 and 737 Swann Avenue. A total of nine condominium units will be available, with the first set of units expected to be ready for occupancy starting in early March 2023.

Applicants must live or work in Alexandria, be first-time homebuyers and have a gross annual income of up to 100% of the area median income to be eligible.

To be considered for the lottery, applicants must submit the following:

• City of Alexandria Homebuyer prescreening form.
• A copy of a mortgage pre-approval letter.
• A copy of the Virginia Housing (VH) training certificate.
