Indicate Your Intent to Return by Fri., Jan. 13, 2023
To ensure ACPS can identify vacancies early and plan for the upcoming staffing season most effectively, the ACPS Department of Human Resources (HR) is asking all employees to inform them of their intended employment status with the division for the 2023-24 school year. Please complete the Intent to Return Survey before 5 p.m. on Fri., Jan. 13, 2023.
Employees will be required to enter their ACPS employee ID and be asked to select one of four options:
- You wish to be re-employed with ACPS.
- You are undecided about your intent to return.
- You are intending to resign at the end of the 2022-23 school year and will not be returning for the 2023-24 school year.
- You intend to retire at the end of the 2022-23 school year and will not return for the 2023-24 school year.
Responses are shared with school principals and supervisors upon receipt to plan for or to identify future staff needs. It is important for staff to note that a position does not become vacant until a formal resignation has been received and a termination letter or termination form has been provided to HR.
All contract employees should complete the intent survey even if they have already discussed their employment status with their principal or administrator. Licensed staff may resign without prejudice until June 15, 2023.
Questions regarding this process can be directed to hr@acps.k12.va.us.
