The School Nutrition Service team for Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) is represented by a staff of over 115 well-trained, dedicated women and men. We provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced and affordable meals to more than 16,000 students daily across our district.
Our services include Lunch and Breakfast programs at all school locations, several After School Snack programs and Supper programs in select schools. The School Nutrition Service Team also supports several summer feeding programs throughout the City of Alexandria.
Free Grab and Go Meals
Grab and Go breakfast and lunch meals are available at no cost for for all ACPS students and children over the age of two, Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m. at the following locations:

No sign up or registration is required to receive meals.

School Nutrition Service
Beginning of the School Year Need to know
- All negative student meal balances have been wiped clean and their accounts have returned to $0.00.
- All meal services will return to pre-pandemic operations. Students who are not attending a CEP school or who do not qualify for FARM will be charged for breakfast and lunch meals.
- 2022–23 school year price increases
- Breakfast K-12 $2.00
- Lunch Grades 6-12 $3.25
- Lunch Grades K-5 $3.05
- Adult Meals $4.00

- There is a 30-day grace period for completing FARM application forms for students who qualified for FARM in SY 22 or attended a CEP school SY 22. The cutoff date for SY 23 is as follows:
- Modified Calendar: September 8, 2022
- Traditional Calendar: October 6, 2022
Supply Chain Issues
Nationwide supply chain issues due to both raw product and labor shortages will require us to alter menus with little or no notice. We will make menu substitutions based on the products we are able to receive. Menu changes will vary by school based on product availability.
