School & Community Relations
The Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Department of School and Community Relations is comprised of two offices, the Office of Communications and the Office of Community Partnerships and Engagement.
The Office of Communications contributes to increased student achievement by providing information that promotes parental and community support and involvement. Information is provided through a variety of media and languages, as appropriate for the community and parent populations of Alexandria. The Office of Community Partnerships and Engagement builds broad-based, innovative partnerships that strengthen all ACPS students' education. Through partnerships, we can inspire civic engagement in students and encourage lifelong learners.
