Vaccine Ambassadors | #WhyVaxACPS
Overview
Vaccines play a critical role in helping to protect our community from COVID-19. They also help to keep students in classrooms with their peers and teachers and prevent interruptions to their learning. Since vaccinations became available to school-age children, ACPS has encouraged families to get vaccinated when eligible in order to keep our schools, students and staff safe. As we continue to navigate school during an ongoing public health emergency, that message is just as relevant and important.
To speak to any concerns that families may have about vaccinating our youngest students in the 5-11 year old age range, we are proud to partner with the Alexandria PTA Council and more than a dozen elementary school families who shared these personal testimonials with ACPS parent liaisons. These are their special messages to families who are still considering getting their children vaccinated.
