Office of School Leadership

The Alexandria City Public Schools Office of School Leadership  is dedicated to supporting and promoting effective leadership among elementary and secondary principals and assistant principals. The office is responsible for providing guidance, resources and professional learning opportunities to school leaders to help them lead their schools effectively and create a positive learning environment for students.

The primary goal of the Office of School Leadership is to improve the quality of education for students by ensuring that school leaders have the knowledge, skills, and support they need to be effective leaders. This is achieved through a variety of initiatives, such as leadership training programs, mentorship opportunities and ongoing professional development.

The Office of School Leadership also plays a crucial role in facilitating communication and collaboration among school leaders, teachers, parents and other stakeholders within the school community. This includes providing a forum for sharing best practices and addressing common challenges, as well as promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.  In addition to supporting school leaders, the Office of School Leadership is also responsible for ensuring that district policies and initiatives are effectively communicated and implemented at the school level. 

The Office of School Leadership is a critical component of Alexandria City Public Schools, helping to ensure that school leaders are equipped with the tools, resources, and support they need to lead their schools effectively and promote the success of all students.
