Sara Bycura

 

This is Sara Bycura's seventh year teaching.  Ms. Bycura has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.  She has also earned a Master’s of Education in International Education with a Concentration in Technology Education.

Ms. Bycura has previously taught in Mexico and Turkey and loves learning about new cultures and sharing what she has learned with her students. She believes in a student’s overall well-being and puts an emphasis on students' physical and mental health.

In her free time, Ms. Bycura enjoys exploring new places and being outside as much as possible.

Kourtney Keen

 

Kourtney Keen has been teaching Kindergarten since 2001 at John Adams Elementary. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master’s of Arts in Elementary Education with a focus in Early Childhood from Ball State University.  She is Nationally Board Certified in Early Childhood and was selected as Teacher of the Year for John Adams in the 2018-19 school year.

She believes in the importance of a strong foundation in the early years of a school and enjoys seeing the growth of her students.  

Mrs. Keen enjoys travelling to new places during school breaks.

Andrea Ridley

 

Andrea Ridley has been teaching at John Adams Elementary since 2012.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a Concentration in Social Work, a Minor in Art, and a Master’s Degree of Arts in Elementary Education.

Mrs. Ridley firmly believes in her favorite quote, “All children are gifts, however, some open their presents later than others.''  She has a passion for teaching and loves working with children.

 Mrs. Ridley loves spending her free time with her family, traveling, baking, and reading.

Graziela Santos

 

This is Ms. Santos second year at ACPS, and her fourth year teaching Kindergarten.  She has earned a Bachelor’s in Arts of Elementary Education - Children, Youth and Adults; from the State University Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil.  Ms. Santos have also earned a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Washington University of Virginia.

Graziela Santos has worked with different age groups, and enjoys the beauty of Kindergarten.  The growth seem in this formative years of the children's lives is so important and she is honor to be a part of it.  Ms. Santos believes in respecting student's voices; working together to build a strong and meaningful learning community.

In her free time, she loves exploring the outdoors and seeing new places.
