Volunteer at George Mason
Some parents volunteer in their own child(ren)’s classroom and others volunteer with other teachers and/or in other parts of the school as tutors, etc. Teachers will talk with you at Back to School Night about ways in which you can volunteer in their classrooms.
If you have a special talent or interest that you would like to share, please talk with Mr. Orrenmaa.
George Mason has a very active and involved PTA and is always in need of individuals who have time and talents to donate. This doesn’t have to be during the school year. Please contact the PTA at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to volunteer.
There are many volunteer opportunities at school, including serving as a chaperone for a field trip, assist with monitoring at lunch, work in the classroom to carry out routine tasks, etc.
We appreciate your interest in volunteering at our school! Volunteers are a vital part of our school community and we welcome your contributions.
To help ensure students' safety, all prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer verification process. ACPS uses the KeepnTrack screening system to screen all visitors/volunteers including parents, PTA members, community members and vendors.
Visit the ACPS website to learn more about how to complete the volunteer application process.
