Ashley Van Tromp, Speech-Language Pathologist
Ashley Van Tromp is a 2007 West Virginia University graduate with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She practiced in the West Virginia school system for one year before moving to northern Virginia.
In addition to working in the school system and ACPS, Ashley has previous experience in early intervention and a private practice setting. She is Board certified by the state of Virginia and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Ashley has completed the first two levels of PROMPT therapy training and completed the first level of PECS training. Ashley enjoys sharing her knowledge about typical communication and communication disorders with teachers and parents to help establish an increased awareness and carry-over of speech and language skills throughout the child's day.
ACPS Speech and Language Services
ACPS offers a broad range of special education services, including speech and language. The focus of school-based speech-language services is to improve the communication abilities of students.
