Degrees and Certifications:
I have been a Speech- Language Pathologist with ACPS for 20 years. During this time I earned an endorsement in English as a Second Language and have twice been a finalist for the Harry Burke Award in Special Education.
I received a bachelor's degree from University of Colorado, a master's n Speech Pathology from the University of Denver and a Ph.D. in Human Development from the University of Maryland. Before joining ACPS, I was in private practice specializing in accent reduction, served as a school speech pathologist in Washington D.C. and as Chief Speech Pathologist at Laradon Hall, Denver. I also served on the National Institute of Health’s Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders national advisory panel for three years.
A mother of two charming young women, I have lived in the D.C area with my husband, Fred, for many years.
