About Patrick Henry

  • Patrick Henry K-8 School is located in the west end of the city of Alexandria, seven miles from the nation's capital. Patrick Henry is on a fifteen-acre site in a valley that was once woodlands. The school opened in September of 1953. In 1995, eight additional classes were added. The Alexandria Recreation Department an after-school program in their facilities adjoining the school.

    A new Patrick Henry School and Recreation Center is currently in development. The new school, which will serve students in grades Pre-K - 8, will open in Fall 2018. Learn more about the new school and recreation center.
