New School Boundaries for SY 2026-27

At the School Board Meeting on June 12, 2025, the Alexandria City School Board approved Elementary School Triangle Map Plan 3 and Middle School Option E as the final boundary changes to go into effect for the start of the 2026–27 school year. Approximately 1,400 currently enrolled students will be impacted by the school boundaries that go into effect on July 1, 2026.

The ACPS Attendance Zone Locator identifies your assigned elementary, middle and high school and determines school bus transportation eligibility based on your street address. Enter your address into the locator or click on the ACPS Attendance Zone map to perform a search.

Your Guide to the New School Boundaries

To ensure every student and family impacted is ready for the transition, we are dedicating the entire 2025–26 school year to communicating, engaging, planning and providing direct support to families and staff impacted by this transition.

Walking Zones

In alignment with our ongoing redistricting efforts and focus on supporting neighborhood schools, Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) has updated school walk zones, the areas around schools where students live within walking distance and do not receive school bus transportation. These updates accurately match the school boundaries that will take effect at the start of the 2026-27 school year.
