The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership is composed of the following offices:

Office of Instructional Support

The Office of Instructional Support provides instructional services to ensure the effective implementation of the ACPS written, taught, and supported curricula, the ACPS Teaching and Learning Framework, and all instructional services related to the ACPS Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).

Office of School Leadership

The Office of School Leadership is responsible for providing exemplary and innovative leadership as well as executive coaching for 18 school principals in developing the essential instructional leadership skills and practices to support teaching and learning within their schools. The focus of this office is to specifically support and grow school leaders through coaching, professional learning, data analysis, and implementation of best educational practices through the lens of leadership.

Office of Specialized Instruction

The Office of Specialized Instruction ensures that ACPS provides services for students with disabilities, age 2 to 21, who are found eligible to receive special education services; professional learning opportunities to build the capacity of general and special education teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators; and provides families with support through outreach and technical support.

Office of English Learner Services

The Office of English Learner Services provides a program of language instruction so that students meet the same challenging academic content and student achievement standards that all students are expected to meet while they develop English language proficiency.
