Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP)

ISAEP application information

The Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) Program prepares students who are at risk of dropping out of public high school to take the General Educational Development Test (GED®).

The process begins with a program referral by the school counselor who contacts the Adult Learning Center (ALC) on the student's behalf to ensure space availability. Only after the appropriate documentation has been completed and submitted (by the counselor), for eligibility determination and approval (by ALC staff), will the counselor be contacted about enrollment testing. All applications should be sent to Teri Barnett at teri.barnett@acps.k12.va.us and Sahar Wiltshire at sahar.wiltshire@acps.k12.va.us.

Please view the ISAEP Must-Have Check List (PDF) before submitting an application to the program.
