All-City Music Ensembles

General Information:

• Eligible Grade Levels: current 5th-7th grade students who attend an ACPS school
• Program Dates: January–April
• Rehearsals: Thursday evenings from 6:30–8:00 pm
• Location: Alexandria City High School, King Street Campus, Orchestra Room
• Concerts: 
  • Orchestra Pyramid Concert on Wednesday, February 18, 2026
    • Location: Alexandria City High School, King Street Campus, Auditorium
  • All-City Final Concert on Thursday, April 16, 2026
    • Location: George Washington Middle School, Auditorium 
• Transportation: families need to provide their own transportation. Carpooling is strongly encouraged and the directors can help facilitate.

ACPS is excited to host its annual 5th Grade All-City Choral Festival! Select 5th grade choristers from all our elementary schools will come together to rehearse at George Washington Middle School on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, 2026. The event will then culminate in a community concert!
