  • Alexandria City Schools (ACPS) is diverse, internationally recognized, and situated just outside of Washington, DC. We are an urban-suburban school division in Virginia committed to equity and academic excellence. Our story is immortalized in the film Remember the Titans, and we have a history dating back to the establishment of public education in the United States. All our schools are accredited and dedicated to providing a safe and healthy learning environment that is responsive to the needs of all students. 

    ACPS has 18 schools, including two middle schools, two K-8 schools, one pre-K school and T.C. Williams High School. We serve more than 16,000 students who hail from more than 120 countries and speak 121 languages. Our mission, outlined in the ACPS 2025 Strategic Plan: Equity for All, is to ensure success by inspiring students and addressing barriers to learning and our vision is to Empower all students to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing world.

  • Attendance Zone Locator

    Children are assigned to a neighborhood school based on their home address. To determine your child's neighborhood school, please enter the child's home address into our Attendance Zone Locator. If you have a specific question about what schools are assigned to an address, please call 703-619-8007 for assistance.
