We are pleased to be able to share good news with you regarding the readiness of the classrooms at Hammond.
Our staff has been working hard alongside contractors over the past few days and we are happy to report that the issues in 15 of the 16 classrooms and the auditorium have now been completely resolved.
Last week, we shared with you that due to the warm and wet summer, mold had been detected in 16 classrooms and the auditorium. This was the result of repairs needed to a compressor to keep the air in the classrooms clean and circulating. This compressor has now been repaired. While additional time is still needed to restore air quality to one classroom, the other 15 classrooms and auditorium have now been cleared for occupancy.
We want to thank you for your patience over the past few days and want to let you know that we cannot wait to see all our Hammond students on Tuesday for the first day of school!
