January 2021 Water Quality Testing - ECC and Hammond

ACPS strives to provide our students and staff with a high-quality learning environment, and that includes water quality testing in all our facilities. 

While school has been ongoing virtually for the 2020-2021 school year, ACPS continues to conduct water quality testing on outlets throughout school buidings. 

Four Early Childhood Center sites were recently re-tested

Of the 4 samples collected (in Room 121) on 1/14/2021; 4 outlets tested above the action level for lead.

Room 121 Sink (Lead): 0.095 mg/L 
Room 121 Sink (Lead): 0.125 mg/L
Room 121 Sink (Lead): 0.016 mg/L
Room 121 Sink (Lead): 0.017 mg/L

These sinks were designated as “hand washing only” on February 26, 2021, as there is sufficient access to filtered drinking water in the hallway.

11 Francis C. Hammond sites were recently tested

Of the 11 samples collected on 1/6/2021; 6 outlets tested above the action level for lead.

Room First Floor Clinic Shower Sink (Lead): 0.015 mg/L
Room E109 Sink 1 (Lead): 0.258 mg/L; Sink 2 (Lead): 0.058 mg/L; Sink 3 (Lead): 0.040 mg/L
Room E208 Sink 1 (Lead): 0.032 mg/L; Sink 2 (Lead): 0.076 mg/L

These 5 sink locations were designated as “hand washing only” on February 26, 2021.  The clinic shower will only be used as intended.
