Higher Achievement Volunteer Opportunity

Higher Achievement Volunteer Opportunity

Higher Achievement provides academic support, mentoring, and enrichment to middle school students during after-school hours at Francis C. Hammond Middle School.

Higher Achievement Teaching Mentors work with a small group of middle school scholars on Literature or Math lessons one night a week across 21 weeks. Teaching Mentors build relationships with their scholars week to week and help youth build social-emotional and academic skills that will support students' success in high school, college, and beyond.

Interested volunteers should have a passion for working with youth, an interest in social justice learning, belief that opportunities matter, commitment to serving as a role model, and willingness to build relationships with youth from diverse communities and backgrounds.
