Sound Impact’s Time Travel Through Music is a program created by Sound Impact, an educational partner of the National Symphony Orchestra. The program explores different styles of music and the cultures and times that produced them. The program is aligned to Virginia Department of Education General Music Standards and an integral component of our curriculum. ACPS General Music teachers have received training on how to use the program as an extension for asynchronous instruction and elementary students have received a learning packet with episode-based activities that teachers will assign based on age level.
Creative Dance is produced by the Local Motion Project, a long-time ACPS partner for dance and movement education. The program explores dance based on VDOE Dance Standards and is intended to get our students moving at home, no matter their environment. ACPS General Music teachers have also received training on how to use this program as an asynchronous extension of their classroom instruction.
